Steve Stanley is founder and CEO of Christian Business Leaders and has been involved with leaders and spiritual leadership development for almost 30 years through various venues.   

 

Prior to the founding of Christian Business Leaders Steve served as executive  director of the Camp Tyler Foundation, Tyler, Texas, where he worked led and trained the leadership of the foundation in serving over 30,000 K-12 and college students annually in an outdoor educational program.  Preceding he served on executive leadership teams in larger Texas churches including Hyde Park Baptist, Austin, First Baptist, Humble, and birthed church starts with Green Acres Baptist of Tyler, and First Baptist of Texarkana.  He co-founded MEGA (Minister’s Education Growth Association), a leadership organization for leaders of larger churches including First Baptist, Atlanta, Georgia, Preston wood Baptist, Dallas, First Baptist, Dallas, Saddleback Church, California, and Willow Creek Community Church, Illinois.  He has spoken and led denominational leadership conferences domestically and internationally and has spoken to corporate and non-profit audiences. Steve has authored articles on leadership and created an Institute on Spiritual Statesmanship.

 

While serving on the executive team of First Baptist Humble, Steve founded Christian Business Leaders as a result of the implosion of the Enron Company of Houston, Texas, as a result of requests expressed by three executives involved in the implosion.  The purpose was to create a venue for corporate Christian leaders with tenants of integrity, character, trust, and intentional giving to counter corporate greed with a new model of leadership based on servant leadership.

 

As founder and CEO of Christian Business Leaders Steve leads this organization to raise up business professionals accountable relationally through a covenanted commitment whose ultimate goal is not just successful business but to execute intentional efforts towards becoming spiritual business statesmen in building the kingdom of God in the market place. He leads this innovative organization with his indomitable will directed by the Holy Spirit to influence the business professional in tenants of integrity, character, and trust, as well as intentional giving in life experiences through servant leadership.

 

Since 2009 CBL has experienced exponential growth with chapters in Texas, and membership in five states and internationally. Participants in CBL include “C” level leadership, entrepreneurs, and presidents of companies, non-profit leaders of organizations as well as educators of major universities.

Married for 36 years, Steve has two grown sons and resides in Round Rock, Texas, Passionate about the outdoors, he enjoys gardening, hunting and playing music on his fiddle.
